This Craftsman Universal Jig for Bench Saws #9-3231 is a versatile tool designed to assist in cutting applications. This listing comes complete with all the original clamps, locating guides, and wing nuts and bolts - making it one of the few complete Craftsmanship Jigs currently listed on Pricetronic. Most listings are missing these original clamps, fixtures, and hardware. Be careful not to purchase an incomplete jig guide because it will not be functional.
Included is a copy of my own Craftsman Universal Jig instructions. You can check all of the parts that are included in that brochure.
The die-cast aluminum material ensures accuracy and strength for prolonged use. It is all original paint - Hammerite grey/blue. I am selling it because it is a duplicate - I do not need two jigs.
This jig is compatible with Craftsmanship table saws, but includes a frequent shop modification that allows it to be used on Rockwell, Powermatic, Shop Fox, Grizzly, and other brands of table saws or Disc Sanders.
The modification consists of a second hole that adjusts the base plate and saw blade distance.
It also has a machinist made (removable) miter slot guide extension making it adaptable for very close or “micro” cuts positioning the jig closer to the blade, and to allow the jig to be extended further from it on brands other than Craftsman saws.
Both of these mods are shown in the pics.
